Cordillera Ranch is nestled in the Texas Hill Country, a 31,000 square-mile area northwest of San Antonio and southwest of Austin. This region has a unique character and beauty all its own with elevations ranging from 600 to 2,500 feet. Visit the many picturesque small towns like Boerne (pronounced Bur-nee), steeped in its own German heritage. And a variety of locally owned restaurants, bed and breakfasts, antique shops, and boutiques delight locals and visitors alike. With a year-round welcoming climate that leaves little to be desired.

Embracing a pro-business atmosphere attractive to new businesses and economic growth, Boerne consistently bests the rest of Texas and the U.S. related to job growth, unemployment rate, household income and taxes. The region is dotted with state parks and natural areas where visitors can explore and enjoy bird and/or bat watching, caverns, camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and more. Some nearby attractions include: Canyon Lake, Lost Maples, Enchanted Rock, Garner State Park and the Guadalupe River State Park.

Residents of Cordillera Ranch can take full advantage of all that the Guadalupe River has to offer: The River Club and outfitters, as well as the 60-acre private, riverside park.

In the spring and summer, residents of the Hill Country enjoy festivals, native wildflowers, and the harvesting of grapes for the latest vintage of wine. With more than 100 wineries and vineyards; tastings and tours are available throughout the area. Other local crops include pecans, strawberries, melons, apples, peaches, and many more. There is simply nowhere else like it on Earth.

For years, the land that became Cordillera Ranch has served as a place of rest and relaxation. The Boerne area was known for its rest homes, as a health resort and area for recuperation. On this very land, the Rainbow Rest Home was established in the 1920s.

Through the years, the land's owners shared in the vision and values of their predecessors and continued with the "Rainbow Rest" name. They considered it a "quiet, peaceful place to live" and "paradise on Earth".

For other subsequent owners, it became a ranch headquarters and a second home and escape for weekends, holidays and summer vacations. It was refuge from the hustle and bustle of the dense, urban areas. And to the current owner and developer, it became Cordillera Ranch. A community with the same restorative qualities of yesteryear, but re-envisioned with its resort-style living, spacious sprawling acreage, and an innovative multi-club concept stressing outdoor activities. Cordillera Ranch epitomizes escape from large populations and embraces an active lifestyle, space and refuge.

The purpose of this place, Cordillera Ranch, then and now couldn't be clearer.
